At Agri Information Partners our core business is providing ready-made and tailor-made software solutions for companies in the agri-food industry (specifically breeding companies).
Especially on the breeding side of things, due to wider spread use of advanced technologies, data density and data volume are rapidly increasing. To keep up with this trend, here at Agri Information Partners we invest heavily in research into data science. After all: data is only really of good use to the user when untangled, stored comprehensively and made accessible by analysis tools. However, even though we have ample expertise within our team, the vastness of the field of data science makes it impossible to be tackled individually. To keep up, actors from different sectors and industries, be they public or private, have to bundle their expertise on the subject and learn from each other. That is why we have joined The Dutch Techcentre For Life Sciences (DTL).
DTL is a public-private partnership of more than 50 life science organizations in the Netherlands. It connects scientists, data experts, technical experts and trainers that are specialized in a variety of high-end wet lab and data technologies, and working in life science domains ranging from health to nutrition, agro, biotech and biodiversity. Together, these professionals interconnect and improve their research infrastructure to enable cost-effective cross-technology life science research in national and international collaboration. Within this partnership, we will be able to learn from other sectors about their data science approach, and they will be able to learn from us. We are glad that we will be facing the data science challenge together and look forward to a healthy and fruitful partnership!
