Last Friday Agri Information Partners was present at the UC Davis Plant Breeding Academy week in Gent. In cooperation with Bert Rijk of Aurea Imaging we gave a lecture about using Drones for Phenotyping purposes for an international group of students. UC Davis Plant Breeding Academy (PBA) is a professional certificate program with classes in USA, Europe, Africa and Asia.
Despite of the fact that the lecture was planned at Friday afternoon after an extensive week of training, it was a very interesting and interactive session. We hope all the attendees are inspired by the concepts and examples we showed.
Collecting images with drones, extract data out of the images and use the data in E-Brida to analyse and support breeding decisions is not a dream anymore but is used in practice.
