” How do Product Managers in breeding companies get the most out their product portfolio? How do Product Managers gather information for the development of new genetics?”
We are providing the means for product managers in breeding companies to “cross” the complex intersection of R&D and Marketing. For our Dutch customer-base and other interested contacts we are organizing the seminar: Effective product management for breeding companies. Already more than 30 companies have already registered to get more information about academic insights and workplace experiences in regards to Product Management in breeding companies.
At the intersection of R&D and Marketing there is a growing need for lean information management to improve the company’s performance. Important aspects that need further analysis before making a step on to the crossing.
A – Communication structures for the primary process of product development
Who is involved, what information do they carry, how is that information communicated within the company?
B – Information systems
What would be needed to optimize decision making? What systems are currently in place? Which of these systems would be able to visualize data.
Product management is a fascinating and versatile field. An important role within organizations with many challenges. Product managers deal with all aspects of the products. They are also involved with market research, a successful product introductions and the way in which the products are presented to the target group in an attractive way. Day to day questions on this department are; How do we get the most out of our portfolio? How do we allocate budgets for development of new genetics? A smooth collaboration with the R&D department is no frivolous luxury; it is an absolute necessity. It is up to the Product Manager to always have up-to-date information about available genetics, techniques and technology and to give relevant external developments a place in their own research. It is up to us to make this possible.
