To Webinar or not to webinar

4 May 2021

At the end of 2019 we, at AIP, decided to grow our ways to get in contact with the E-Brida & Mercado users community. For many years we had the experience to be physically next to the users and to look them in their eyes when working together on projects. We started to use Webinars in early 2020. We were curious to know how this new format will fit with our users and activities. At that time we didn’t know that the ways of working, communicating, and keeping in contact with each other’s will be so deeply transformed due to COVID19. A year and 10 webinars passed. A perfect moment to take a minute and look back on how it went.

We are looking forward to the time where we will have the chance to be able to do both: meet online and meet live!

Webinars prove very quickly to be a powerful communication platform. The information reached our users’ community regardless of their location and the size of our meeting room. We particularly like to start the meeting with polls that allow knowing the group of participants. It is short, very informative, and can be even fun. Also, the Q&A is key and secures to address each question pending for our attendees. The attendees have been very loyal. Some events counted close to 100 attendees!
We conclude that webinars have shown to be a successful method to stay in contact and are here to stay. This is why the beginning of 2021 we started to use a tool to support and manage the events in the most professional way possible.

Webinar still does not solves that we do miss seeing the users in their eyes and also bringing cookies for coffee breaks. We are looking forward to the time where we will have the chance to be able to do both: meet online and meet live!
